Why are you stepping up to do this?
When we moved to Madison, the whole county had two traffic lights. I used to joke that my commute to school was one minute while there were people in Atlanta spending 45 minutes one-way to get to work. Not too long ago, I was returning from the fitness center at 7:00 a.m. When I stopped for the light at Washington and Main, I was in front of the Presbyterian Church! It was in that moment that I realized how much Madison was changing right in front of my eyes. Lorene and I have a 'motto' of sorts that goes 'See something. Do something.' I figured I could just let change happen, or I could try to be a part of a conscious process of growth.

Are you a Republican or a Democrat?
I try hard not to be pigeonholed as either. I feel like one of the biggest mistakes we've made in American politics is to put an "R" or a "D" and the state or district they represent behind people's names.  It immediately divides us and stereotypes the individual.  I want to represent the community and everyone in it.
But, I'm not registered yet!

ALL PERSONS WHO ARE NOT REGISTERED TO VOTE AND WHO DESIRE TO REGISTER TO VOTE IN THE SPECIAL ELECTION MAY
REGISTER TO VOTE THROUGH THE CLOSE OF BUSINESS ON FEBRUARY 17, 2025.
EARLY VOTING WILL BE HELD
FEBRUARY 24 – MARCH 14

POLLS WILL BE OPEN FROM 7:00 A.M. UNTIL 7:00 P.M. ON ELECTION DAY AT THE MORGAN COUNTY ELECTIONS OFFICE.
SHOULD A RUNOFF ELECTION BE REQUIRED, SUCH RUNOFF WILL BE HELD ON APRIL 15, 2025.
